Weight in day! Down 2 lbs (note to self....get digital scale, so you have an accurate number.) As I predicted "lose it" has instructed me to eat 1,199 calories per day in order for me to continue to lose 2 lbs per week. I will NOT eat under 1200 calories as I believe we get into starvation mode when we start to get under that number. I was hoping it would let me enter a permanent calorie intake of 1200, but so far, It will not allow me to do this. It will however allow me to add 25 calories to 1,199 and make it permanent, but that's too many calories! I just want to add 1! Ha ha...
I'm so happy that this week is over. Friday-Friday was a tough week for me as far as "dieting" goes. Easily the hardest since I started. I never felt full this whole week. Last night was the worst. I was at work for nearly 13 hours, went home, threw a whole foods burrito in the oven to cook for an hour, went to gym while it cooked for 400 calorie burn. Came home excited to eat what looked to be a delicious dinner.....only to find out the burrito was inedible. It was dry and tasteless. The salad I had with dinner was also pretty bad. I topped it with a salsa/light sour cream mix. I don't know if it was the dressing or the fact that my "go to" giant salad bowl, that is meant to last the whole week, was getting old and just didn't taste so good anymore. I ended up throwing my dinner away and having a bowl of cereal instead :(
To be honest, on my way home from work yesterday, I kept thinking "maybe I'll just skip the gym today," "maybe I will just eat what I want for dinner, I'm too tired to cook or even thinking about making a meal." I knew doing either/both of these things would push me past my calorie intake, but I was left wondering......"Do I even care tonight?" I went ahead and did my workout (while listening to a Beastie boys mix, RIP,MCA!) and ate a meal (not my intended meal) with an appropriate calorie budget. I knew if I broke my diet tonight I would feel ashamed. This was the first day since starting my diet in March where I almost talked myself out of following my programm. I hadn't even tried until last night. today I am feeling more at ease, and can look forward to my pre-planned tuesday diet (or lack thereof) disaster of cheesy tapas and margaritas before the Black Keys concert. It's just a day! (note to self- write post on Easter diet break, and how astonished you were at how much you ate,)
Later!

Today is a non-workout day. What this means is....today I can only eat 1219 calories! It is amazing how fast you can use up 1219 calories. No cream in my coffee, no chocolate after dinner, no heavy dressings. Today is a pretty bare bones day as far as foods go (ok, I had half a bagel at breakfast...but half!) and, I have changed my dinner menu about 5 times already in order to find something that will fit into my budget. I feel very hungry wich is miserable. I'm drinking tea to try to curb my hunger. I feel like I have been hungry to the extreme for the past week. Strange how sometimes you feel satisfied and other times...ravenous!
Here is what I ate today:
16oz of coffee (2 8oz cups a couple hours apart) 5 cals
2 splenda 7 cals
2% fage yogurt 140 cals
100% fruit bar (fresh fruit isn't usually an option for me..allergies,yada yada yada ) 140 cals
1/2 bagel 144 calories
1/20z cream cheese 48 cals
3oz chicken breast 93 cals
1.5c lettuce 4 cals
1/4c cucumber 4 cals
1/4 red bell pepper 9 cals
1Tbls low cal italian dressing 26 cals
1/4c beets
5 black olives 18 cals
5 croutons 30 cals
diet rootbeer 0 cals
sweet onion teriyaki sandwich (subway) with slice of american 420 cals
rice cake 35 cals
1/2tbls peanut butter 47
stick of gum (yep, have to count it,stupid huh?) 5 cals
this leaves me with 21 calories left over. I was able to eat out tonight at Subway and enjoy 1/2 bagel at breakfast. I can see by looking at this that another breakfast item might have held me over alot better, but I was craving that bagel. I've also heard that rice cakes have no nutritional value, but I do like them and I figure some protein from the p.b. would help. Eating less is what is most difficult for me. Eating healthier isn't the hardest part......

Yogurt purchased! Now I must head to the gym. Did I mention that after my first month of healthier eating, my cholesterol went down 50 points !!! Just goes to show how much of a difference these changes can make, and fast!
P.S- I know I need to post some piks of myself! Including older skinny pictures and current pictures, and I promise I will (I hope that 8 months from now, I can post some great "after" pictures too!) One thing I am not ready to do (maybe someday.....) is post my starting weight,or current weight for that matter.........Hmmm.....I think I will have to though:( I owe you all (there's not many of you, I know) some honesty. I don't think I've told ANYONE my weight! Me and my doc are the only ones who know......;)
